Canon PowerShot A490 Digital Camera. I just read the 1 review for this camera and it isn’t really a review. They complained that there was no memory card and then doesn’t even describe the performance of this camera. I just bought this camera and it is so easy to use, it also has great picture quality. When you are not using it then it automatically powers off saving the life of the battery. This is a great deal and I haven’t seen many cameras come with a memory card unless it is being sold in a bundle or an online special. Canon PowerShot ELPH 100 HS 12 MP CMOS Digital Camera. This is an excellent little camera. In many situations, it takes pictures of comparable quality to my Rebel XS. The optical image stabilization puts it solidly above most point-and-shoot cameras I’ve used.

I bought this because it’s just about the smallest real camera I could find, and I wanted something I could easily carry with me. The only drawback to this is that the buttons on the back are quite small and can be a pain to use. On the plus side, the interface is very straightforward and there’s no selection wheel full of options I’ll never use. Another refreshing change from other cameras I’ve used is that the camera explains the significance of most settings, so even those you don’t use very often won’t confuse you.

Video quality is also pretty good. It’ll take 1080p videos, but only at 24 frames per second, which generally looks jerky. I much prefer the results at 720p. Zoom and autofocus do not work during video recording, but you aren’t stuck with webcam-style fixed focus, you simply have to set zoom and focus before starting to record. I think this has something to do with the microphone picking up the noise caused by the moving parts in the lens. You can also take slow-motion video at up to 240 frames per second, which is a neat trick – although 240fps is not always fast enough to capture a whole lot of detail you can’t see anyway. Canon PowerShot SX20IS Digital Camera. I have had this camera for an year, I am not a professional photographer, but this camera has grown my interest in photography even more, some of the plus points about this camera, even if you zoom to a long distance, as long as you keep your hands steady or use a tripod, the image quality will still be great unlike few other cameras who offer good zoom but when you increase the zoom the quality of the image gets deteriorated. I also love its image quality for photos taken at night. Try experimenting with its vivid colors, sepia and black and white mode, and of course the fireworks, they are amazing. it is little heavy but if you wear it around your neck or use a tripod you can take perfect photos, right now I am using it’s manual mode and will switch over to an SLR after a year or two, but this will always be my first love. I checked out the SX30is, did not like it as much as this one. Only thing I wish it had rechargeable Li ion battery like my another cannon rather than the AA batteries. So far I would say with my 1 year experience with this camera, this is the best one can have as a powershot if you want better than this will have to aim for an SLR . Customer Review by Chandubabu.

Canon PowerShot SX130IS Digital Camera. I researched on a new high-zoom point and shoot to get for quite a while before narrowing my decision down to this camera. Let me tell you, I could NOT be happier with my decision. This camera is beautiful, looks beautiful and takes beautiful pictures. It’s really top in it’s class/price range IMO. The pictures turn out wonderful and has tons of nice little features that other digital camera’s usually really lack on. The zoom works great and exactly what I was looking for and the images aren’t blurry/extremely grainy when zooming in far, A+++++.

My first point and shoot was a Canon, I absolutely LOVED it..
My second point and shoot was a Sony, I will NEVER purchase a Sony camera again..

Canon PowerShot SD4500IS 10 MP Digital Camera. Great little camera, picture quality is very nice as expected from a Canon, 10 x optical zoom is great to get you close to the action and it has Optical Image Stabilizer. Really like the “handheld night scene” mode, get you great pictures with low light. The camera is really easy to operate, but you won’t get too creative with it, because you have little control over the camera, other than the scene modes or full auto, but it’s really pocket friendly. Auto focus is great, but you really need to read the manual (pages 86 an on, for the explanation of AF lock, AE lock and FE lock) and get used to it, otherwise you’ll be getting poor focus pictures. Video shooting is not a strong point, you get nice looking 720p and 1080p videos, but they won’t be long because the battery dies quickly, it’s OK for a 5 min little video, but filming an entire event won’t be possible. And get a Spare battery, the default battery will get you from 100 to 150 photos. Customer Review by Roberto Burgos.

Canon PowerShot S95 10 MP Digital Camera. I previously owned a Canon SD1400IS which is a great camera and phenomenally sleek and compact, but I am still glad I upgraded to the S95, especially before I went to the U2 concert. I see why Ken Rockwell calls this “The World’s Best Pocket Camera.” I especially like to shoot raw. Now that I use ACR and CS5, I will never be able to go back to JPEG. I love this camera.
